Mexico Vivo Dance Company - Media Advisory 1-2008 (Jan 25, 2008)
Veronica Lopez's new album “Reflection” is superbly represented by its charming single “Take Me Away.” Lopez offers up alluring Latin-flavored pop distinguished by warm melodies, sweet yet sexy vocals that ring with sincerity and ear-catching lyrics. The feelings of the heart bloom through a south of the border taste mingled with fresh pop sensibilities.
“Take Me Away” presents the kind of keen melodies and lyrical appeal for which Lopez has earned her reputation. Spanish guitar stylings augment gentle adult pop flavors and together the perfect musical flow is created for Lopez’ stunning vocal talents. The music is soft yet energetic, riveting in its emotional power and big-time catchiness. The song was featured on the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund CD and is grabbing airplay across the nation.

Winds blowing wind-chimes, a strumming guitar and the sound of a penny whistle introduce the listener to Veronica Lopez. In this story of the homeless trying to survive from day to day the artist would like to "Just Imagine" what this world would be like if we all just reached out and helped.

Honesty and commitment to worthy issues is very important to Lopez. All of her creations are concocted out of a need to help make things better, whether it be the homeless, faithless, or under-appreciated. "Take Me Away" is a Contemporary Christian piece accented with a tasteful acoustic guitar accent. The latin flavor is evident but, gently. Starting with real prayer, "Prayer" has a soft easy flowing tempo. Lopez's vocals are sung with heart and conviction. She delivers with optimism and hope. Again, the Spanish style acoustic guitar flutters between the vocals. Strings finish the arrangement out nicely. Veronica shows off her Mariachi style, sung in Spanish, "Corazon de Oro", "Chaparito Peligroso" and "Chisme". Lopez sounds extremely comfortable in this realm. This is her background, and it is obvious that this is her strength. Even her voice sounds like she's home on these songs. The beautifully arranged "The Christmas Miracle" is a song obviously made for this particular holiday season. It is true to the feeling and a song I could hear on a "Hallmark Hall Of Fame" movie soundtrack. Sweet and saccharine but, with the right amount of seasonal soul. It's classically produced and arranged. In "America's Glory" Veronica thanks America for allowing her immigrant father to land on this soil and become a part of it.

Hard work and dedication led to a family of immigrants turned Americans. It's a syrupy ballad but it is straight from her soul...and Veronica Lopez, you're welcome and ...thank you. Veronica's vocals are crystal clear and true to her compositions. Christian radio and family entertainment production companies should take a listen for a placement.Whether she sings in English or Spanish Veronica Lopez has something to say with an accent on the positive. MEDIA ADVISORY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUG 2007

LAS VEGAS, NV—Bilingual and bicultural singing sensation Veronica Lopez, known as “Chaparita” for her diminutive stature, charismatic personality and colossal voice, has launched her Inspirational Tour, adding to her repertoire of singing, songwriting, and acting. With this tour, Veronica is “changing the world, one song at a time.” Veronica’s ability to touch the hearts of both English and Spanish speaking fans has drawn attention to her talent as a crossover singer/songwriter in both markets.

Veronica’s appearances, which typically consist of her original songs, accompanied by live music and a multi-media presentation, have achieved instant popularity with Churches during their weekend services, and with their women’s groups of adults and teenagers. Also booked by civic organizations, Veronica combines humor, music, heartfelt stories, images captured on video, and her own personal experiences to explore family, women’s roles, and a variety of issues that cross the boundaries of gender.

To coincide with her tour, Veronica has combined her musical talent with inspirational and spiritual thoughts to create songs for a new CD, set for release later this year. “Reflections,” in the adult contemporary genre, is set to be a compilation of original songs designed to both awaken consciousness and heal hearts. “Take Me Away,” featured on the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund CD is receiving airplay nationwide and on the worldwide web. “Just Imagine,” with its own music video, is meant to raise awareness about the plight of homeless. Veronica’s newest release, “Toxic Fashion,” explores teen social issues in relation to the media, specifically those related to the self-image of teenage girls.

Veronica’s extensive range and style have been compared to Selena and Edie Gorme. Singing professionally since the age of 7, Veronica has performed across the United States and Mexico at many cultural events. Her style ranges from traditional Spanish cumbias, rancheras, and baladas. Since 2004, Veronica has released two CDs of Spanish music, has toured, and has appeared on television and on well over 100 radio stations in the United States, Mexico, Italy, Canada, Australia and Asia, plus the Internet. She is highly regarded for performing “The National Anthem” as well as her original ballad “La Gloria de America” (translated “America’s Glory”) which she performs in Spanish and English.
