VERONICA LOPEZ PLANS MAJOR CD RELEASE IN SAN ANTONIO

LAS VEGAS, NV / SAN ANTONIO, TX— A major event has been planned for the September 9th release of the much anticipated new CD, Mas Chisme, by Latin crossover artist Veronica Lopez. Lopez will unveil her most recent compilation of original music at San Antonio’s famous Cadillac Bar & Restaurante where she will perform along with popular headliners Los Bandoleros de Henry G and Mark Webber y Los Cuernos beginning at 6pm. The September 9th event is open to the public, and reservations are encouraged.

While in Texas, Lopez will be featured on The Johnny Canales Show (Corpus Christi, TX) on September 12th. Canales, a famed singer, is best known for giving the late Tejano superstar, Selena, her first break in the industry when she was just 13 years old. Lopez is also scheduled for multiple television and radio interviews, as well as additional appearances with Tejano Music Award Nominee, Los Bandoleros, based in San Antonio.

Nominated for a 2010 Las Vegas Latin Music Award, Lopez was a recipient in 2008, and a Grammy and Latin Grammy Nominee in 2009. This internationally recognized singer/songwriter is a versatile and charismatic performer of popular songs in the Tejano, Nortena, Grupero styles. Her new CD, Mas Chisme, features original music, including the first English Cumbia, as well as “Loca,” a Latin re-make of “Crazy,” originally written by Willie Nelson, and made famous by late country star, Patsy Cline. The pre-released singles from Mas Chisme are receiving airplay in Texas, California, Utah, Kansas, Arizona, Mexico, Spain and S. America.

The petite Latina singer with the colossal voice has been compared to popular vocalist Edie Gorme and the late Selena. Lopez, based in Las Vegas, has been touring the United States and internationally, with bookings scheduled for fairs, festivals and other events through 2011.
